About Me
My name is Leah W. Maru. Maru is my husband whom I have been married to since 2012 and we have 2 kids. I am the care manager at Care At Home, which my husband and I founded and ran together. My background is in accounting. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a Masters’s Degree in Accounting and spent close to 7 years in the corporate world holding different titles in investment accounting.
I am passionate about caregiving. Since 2012, I have worked with various home health/care agencies in Johnson county like Hearts at Home, Benefits of Home, and CLO, and as a caregiver and direct support personnel. My clients have always loved me: I treat all my clients with respect and go above and beyond to ensure they get the care they deserve. My husband and I have both cared for our grandparents when they were alive, something we take pride in having helped them enjoy their old age from the comfort of our parent’s homes.
Our company provides non-medical care to senior citizens, adults with various physical disabilities, and any other adults who need care due to multiple reasons like recent surgery, or illnesses that limit physical mobility among others.
If you have a loved one who needs care, be it full-time or part-time, do not hesitate to contact us. We will create a care plan and a schedule that suits your loved one’s needs. Our goal is to provide you with peace of mind knowing that your loved one is happy and safe in the comfort of what they call home.
